Take Your Longaberger to the Library

Have you visited your local library recently?  Libraries have so much to offer; it's not just about books, although a good book is wonderful winter fare.  Libraries offer great classes and entertainment too. Need a tool or even a unique cake pan for a one-time use?  Don't buy it; go check it out! You might be surprised at what your library has. Our local library is staffed with caring members who help with questions you might have, and I rarely visit there without seeing them helping someone at one of the computers. Those without internet access can use computers and even print information found.  A genealogy room funded by some generous donations is often in use, as well as its Ancestry.com access.  Some libraries will deliver books to those unable to get there.  Check out your library's website and see what you might be missing!

When my son was young, we always participated in the summer reading program at our local library, and a Longaberger Medium Market Basket is perfect for holding and transporting those thin picture books. Find a good place to put the traveling library basket at home, and take and return books from it. It rides well in the car coming and going.

There are other baskets perfect for smaller sizes of books as readers grow and book size shrinks, such as past Collectors Club Membership Baskets.  My original Membership Basket has many brass tags added over its splints from gatherings attended and years of membership. I'm thinking of becoming a beekeeper, and I checked out some helpful books about it.

Love your library and your Longaberger!
