Longaberger's annual company convention, the Basket Bee, is returning to its hometown roots this year (July, 2015) in Dresden, Ohio, quite a change from the Bees Longaberger Consultants attended in the big Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio for many years. I'm excited to see the Old Union School House (Longaberger University) and the other fun things we will get to see and do.
I always loved the Bee Baskets available at the past Bees, but my favorite baskets to bring home by far were those I had won/earned for my sales in the past year. These baskets, pictured above and below with more of my Monopoly collection, are VIP Baskets for $30,000+ and later $35,000+ in yearly sales. I love this basket shape and wish Longaberger still used it. These were very fun years!
The Boyd's plush bears pictured peeking out of several of the VIP Baskets were dressed to match that year's Bee theme fabric and carried a miniature of the Bee Bag that attendees received, wore the string of Bee award ribbons around their necks "like prize cows at a county fair," and reflected Bee attire and attitude well.
The Monopoly games below the VIP Baskets include some of my favorites, such as Peanuts, Coca-Cola, and "I Love Lucy" versions, as well as Lionel trains and anniversary editions old and new.
If you're a Longaberger consultant, I'll hope to see you at the 2015 Bee! I can't wait to share my experiences afterward.
