Puppy Chow in Longaberger's Dog Treats Basket?

Isn't Longaberger's new Dog Treats Basket fun?!  We don't have a dog, but I'm hoping to serve "puppy chow" (the sweet snack for humans) in my new Longaberger Dog Treats Basket at my monthly Longaberger Open House Monday night. Fellow "puppy chow" fans will know this won't work without a plastic protector--the sweet snack is covered with powdered sugar.

I'm hoping that lining the Dog Treats Basket with aluminum foil won't look too distracting but will protect my basket.  I don't have any Glad Press & Seal, and I don't know for sure what all it might want to seal to!  Perhaps I should just change to a snack more Chex-mix-like without the dripping powdered sugar, especially since my basket is the darker Rich Brown stain.

Dog treats are drier and don't need a protector, but these human treats sure do.  I would welcome any suggestions you have for creating your own protector.  The foil doesn't look bad, especially while the basket is filled with the snack.  I plan to provide a scoop or some small cups for serving.  I hope you'll comment with ideas or suggestions.
