Flameware Cobbler Recipe

Longaberger’s Flameware has been easy to use, and it’s nice knowing I’m cooking safely while enjoying the beautiful, tasty products.  I made a cobbler in the Flameware Braiser for my Open House last Monday night.  The recipe is quick and easy, and it’s fun to watch it bake.  Thanks so much to my friend Jackie Bunch for the tasty recipe.  Try this for your family this week:
                                                                        Essie’s Cobbler

For use in Longaberger 72 oz FlameWare Braiser

½ c butter, softened
2 c flour
½ t salt
1 c sugar
4 t baking powder
1 c milk
2 cans fruit (cherry or peach; just fruit and juice, not pie filling)

Drain fruit; reserve juice.  Add ½ to 1 c sugar to 2 c juice; set aside  (We didn’t have that much juice, so we added Sprite to make 2 c).

Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.  Stir in dry ingredients and mix.  Pour into Braiser.  Spoon fruit over batter, then pour juice/sugar over top.

Bake 45-50 minutes at 375 degrees F.

Especially tasty with some vanilla ice cream!
