Does trying to remain safely isolated ever leave you wondering what day it is? My kitchen pig holding a chalkboard now displays the day of the week and month rather than a menu. I also have several fun calendars, with Erin Smith's for a sure laugh. When I was buying my mom's Wheel of Fortune page-a-day calendar for Christmas, I couldn't resist buying one for myself from the fun selections. They are probably really on sale right now!
Since I had led my students in folding origami Christmas ornaments for many years, I chose the Origami calendar. Pages have clear instructions and diagrams on front, which are folded using the colored print on back of the page before. There are some pages that explain or give examples, and these provide more colorful papers to try favorites again. Instead of
This Canoe is a great example of a fun patterned paper and an interesting item to fold, turned completely inside out safely. If I were younger or still teaching, I would be folding canoes from foil or waxed paper and seeing how many pennies they would float!
Some pages in the calendar are folded using dollar bills or square sticky notes, so there are many different things to fold. My completed projects are in a Longaberger Picket Pail Basket, a very unique basket offered for Easter 2006 that was inspired by picket fences in America's heartland. I'll need to find a larger basket in a few months.
The Picket Pail is so cute, and think of the materials it saved Longaberger. The upsplints were thicker, but there is surely less wood there. A Small Oval Picket Basket was offered the next year.
Hi, I have a fairly large collection that my Mother left behind when she went to heaven. Do you have any suggestions on what to do with it? Does anyone out there buy collections?
