The old jar of strawberry tickets has some local history. When we used to go to the fair (the Old Soldiers & Settlers Reunion) in Cassville in the summer, we always got to hear how Mom and Dad had to spend their own money when they went as kids, usually earned by picking strawberries. Cassville, Missouri and Barry County as a whole apparently had success raising strawberries at one point. The jar makes me sad--someone picked those berries and didn't get to cash in the tickets!
Longaberger Baskets, Woven Traditions Pottery, other products, and ideas for using them are the focus of LovingLongablogger. Sharing Longaberger fun and history from the past are part of my focus, as well. Be sure to click on "Older Posts" at the bottom of each page to continue through the posts.

Strawberries, both Longaberger and in Barry County
