I have such great childhood memories of playing Monopoly with my three sisters, and when my Grandpa and Grandma Beck later gave me my own Monopoly game, a collection was born. Much of my overgrown collection is in my office, which has a wide shelf running around the room above the windows. Longaberger Baskets, Monopoly games, and a few other treasures are found here.
Longaberger offered several American flag-themed baskets from 1998 through 2002, some offered only to Collectors Club members. Also in this photo: Mr. Moneybags as a plush and a bank, a Monopoly game from Romania, a wooden boxed Monopoly edition, a Dog Lovers Theme Pack of game tokens, and the Longaberger Miniature Sweets Candy Corn and Cupcake Baskets.
Many Monopoly games came in tins, which include some of my favorites. The black one in the center was the first Monopoly game I ever purchased myself--couldn't resist that tin! To its right are Millennium, 70th, Disney, and Scooby Doo editions. The small ones on top aren't games, just small tins, as well as a coffee mug. You can buy about anything Monopoly . . . try searching it on eBay. You'll be amazed at the variety of products they have licensed.
The beautiful baskets on the left in this photo are the 1989 Longaberger All-American Stitching and Quilting Baskets, with their handles tied together so you can see the smaller Stitching. The Monopoly tins are just that--empty tins, not games. The basket sitting on the middle tin is the 1992 Crisco Cookie Celebration Basket, and to its right are the 1991 Crisco American Pie (with its beautiful woven lid!) and the 1998 All-American Pie Basket.
