One fun thing about going to the Bee, Longaberger's Convention in Columbus Ohio, each summer is having some contact with Longaberger's talented weavers. We can visit with them in the causeways as some weave baskets and others answer questions. We can weave a basket with one on the last day of the Bee each year, something they come in voluntarily to do with us (You can also weave a basket by going to Longaberger Homestead or one of their special events around the country). The weavers award the special baskets to the biggest award winners, and there is usually a big section of weavers at our general meeting.
The "Made in America Matters" photo was given to us and signed by Tami Longaberger, and the basket weavers who were chosen for the photo could be found different places at our meetings. They were so nice about signing the border of the photo and helping us locate others, hollering at someone else whose signature we needed, "Come sign these gals' pictures!" They and their handiwork are what makes the Longaberger Company so special.
